More people are unhappy with how the country is being governed than during Watergate. 92% of Republicans, and 65% of Dems.
Particularly troublesome is the fact that 49% of Americans consider the government an “immediate threat” to individual rights and freedoms.
They are right to be concerned. I’ve been in that camp for a very long time. Well, frankly I’ve been in that camp for pretty much forever. But that half of Americans agree with me is an interesting development.
A society can not be called healthy if 49% of citizens fear for their rights and freedoms. Indeed, such a situation would seem to indicate a society of subjects, not citizens. Or serfs, perhaps.
