Mitt Romney Supports an Audit of the Federal Reserve?

I’ll believe it when I see it. If there was a way to pull in some of those wayward Ron Paul supporters this proposal might get a few of them. Put Ron Paul in charge of the audit and investigation, with free rein, and then maybe we’re talking about something.

Mitt Romney said Monday he thinks the Federal Reserve should face an  audit.

“Very plain and simple, the answer is yes. The Federal Reserve should be   accountable. We should see what they’re doing,” Mr. Romney, the presumptive  Republican presidential nominee, said at a town hall in New Hampshire.
