Enroll America: Obama and insurance companies partner for profit (again), to dupe the young and healthy

Obamcare off the rails cc

Cathleen Sebelius, the head of HHS has gone around to the insurance industry and begged for private funds to get the word out about Obamacare. You see, not enough healthy people are likely to enroll, and the system is poised to be overwhelmed as soon as it begins. It’s a disaster, and as we have said before, may end up being “Obama’s Iraq War.”

Enroll America, seeks to – I kid you not- create “an echo chamber” for Obamacare. A propaganda push so that people who have no business enrolling in Obamacare because it makes no sense for them to do so economically actually join up, and subsidize the people who need healthcare.

This ought to work like a charm, and the program is clearly viable, Obama and the insurance industry say so. Sign up now!

The group, which has strong ties to the Obama administration and the healthcare industry, announced plans for more than 50 events in 18 states, including California, Florida and Texas, as part of its “Get Covered America” campaign. The events include canvassing neighborhoods and speeches at churches and other local venues to explain the need for health insurance, particularly among younger people, whose participation could determine whether “Obamacare” succeeds or fails.

The Congressional Budget Office estimates 7 million Americans will sign up for health coverage on new state-based insurance exchanges that will begin enrollment on October 1. The administration needs that figure to include 2.7 million younger, healthier consumers. The total number of exchange enrollees is expected to surge to 22 million by 2016.
