Richard Stengel is going to take an oath to hold up the Constitution if he is confirmed. I am willing to bet that this oath will mean nothing to him.

The truth is there is a whole class of people who consider the Constitution an impediment to what they see as “progress.” They loathe that such a document restricts their effort at consolidation, their quest for an all pervasive state, for frankly a benevolent totalitarianism. They have little use for an ancient document written by a bunch of slave holding yokels who lived before the dawn of Marx.
