We bet he would be.
Think of Goldman Sachs as a political compass. If Goldman is the north star of crony capitalism one should always move to the south as far away from these guys as possible. Electing any of the bank’s officially endorsed candidates (and we don’t have any candidates yet) is just not smart. It’s asking for trouble.
Unless one has piles and piles and piles of money (and even then and perhaps even especially) one should minimize one’s interaction with the boys at Government Sachs. We certainly don’t want our president under their thumb that’s for sure.
So what is the Goldman strategy here? All too simple: shower both candidates with money (money which was recently printed by the same Fed, whose all important New York branch is controlled by a former Goldmanite), and in return expect protection from the very top to assure nothing can ever touch the vampire squid.
