Planned Parenthood has committed to spending $20 million on Ms. Clinton anyway. This seems odd given that we are so often told that Planned Parenthood needs to be subsidized by taxpayers. I suppose this is one of the reasons we are told that Planned Parenthood needs to be subsidized.
This is “circular flow” crony capitalism. Lobby for taxpayer money to further one’s agenda.* Then take that money and support advocates in government who can then secure more funding. Rinse and repeat. Crony capitalism need not always be big banks or unions or pharma.
(Punching Bag Post)
On Sunday, Hillary Clinton announced her official acceptance of the Planned Parenthood endorsement in the Presidential election, stating that their support reinforces her commitment to women’s “reproductive rights”.
Planned Parenthood has never publicly endorsed a presidential candidate, making this move historical, especially with the organization announcing they will commit $20 million towards her campaign with a focus on hitting the most competitive states.
*Federal funds are not supposed to go political causes, so the money comes from a different bucket.
ACC is a completely non-partisan organization. We do not support/endorse or oppose any candidate for office. We believe that both major parties are heavily influenced by special interests and will report on crony capitalism wherever and whenever we see it.
