The crony system of government has a tiered system of justice. There are the connected and/or rich who have one set of rules. Then there is another set of rules and assumptions for those who fall outside of the blessings of the inner court.
Hypocrisy is rife in the crony class. Such hypocrisy is in fact one of the defining characteristics of a crony system. Those who call for “justice” are the ones who seek to impose unjust laws. Those who are “concerned” with poverty and inequality often exploit the poor for their own wealth. Calls for transparency ring out after secret meetings. Indignant calls for gun control are made by those who rely on guns themselves.
In 2013 USA Today did a survey on congressional firearms ownership and 26 of the Democratic lawmakers who participated in last week’s sit in, own guns.
“The participants also included 12 more Democrats in Congress who either didn’t respond to USA Today’s gun survey or declined to say whether or not they possessed a firearm,” HeatStreet reported.
Many of the Democrat on the list speak out against gun violence on a regular basis, but apparently cling to their guns nevertheless. There were also armed guards around them during the “heroic” sit in.
