This is one of the reasons why we asked our readers whether they felt the 1st Amendment was under attack. Breitbart doesn’t have a right to exist? What kind of bs is that?
As the attached article points out this is right out of the Saul Alinsky playbook. Thing is the Clinton camp picking a fight with a seasoned scrapper in Breitbart. Bannon and company are unlikely to be as gentile as the Kochs. From the very beginning the Breitbart organization has had to fight and they are certainly not going to back down now. It should also be noted that Breitbart broke the Anthony Weiner Twitter cheating story. Anthony Weiner is Huma Abedin’s (Hillary Clinton’s chief assistant) husband. The Hillary team probably harbors particular ill will toward the website. (Not to mention all the stories it has done on the Clinton Foundation and its takedown of Acorn, a deeply crony “community organizing” group which had strong ties to the Obama administration.)
Breitbart is absolutely partisan. But so is CNN and MSNBC, and NBC, and CBS, and PBS, and ABC, and The New York Times, and The Washington Post, just in a different, generally pro-Hillary way.
And for our reader’s insight here is a panel I hosted on which Steve Bannon, Brietbart’s current editor and and now Trump’s campaign manager talks about “the future of conservatism.” It’s quite interesting.
It should be noted that although ACC on occasion agrees with Breitbart, we often also disagree with it. But it sure as HELL has a right to exist.
The reason Breitbart is the target is not just because our executive chairman is the new CEO of the Trump campaign. Far more important is the fact that Breitbart editor Peter Schweizer has exposed the Clinton Foundation and Hillary Clinton’s pay-for-play corruption at the State Department with his bestselling book, Clinton Cash. Clinton’s false accusations of racism are typical — and show her desperation.
The attacks will not stop with Breitbart News. Hillary Clinton backs changes to the First Amendment to shut up businesses; her party has proposed legislation that would let the government decide who is a journalist and who is not.
ACC is a completely non-partisan organization. We do not support/endorse or oppose any candidate for office. We believe that both major parties are heavily influenced by special interests and will report on crony capitalism wherever and whenever we see it.
