According to an FBI spokesman the financial disclosure forms were marked as “in compliance with applicable laws and regulations” when they were filed in July after McCabe was granted a 44-day filing extension.
While there is a box on the forms for spousal income, the Office of Government Ethics does not require that executive branch personnel fill it out. The man responsible for filing the FOIA and sharing the findings with Fox News is retired FBI agent Jeff Daniq.
“If it’s not required, then why is there a spot on the form for spouse’s income?” he said to Fox News.
