I grew up in Hampton Roads, Virginia’s Tidewater, Virginia Beach to be exact, and I’ve long been fascinated by the hurricanes and nor’easters that often spin just off coast of my home town. I grew up surfing the swells before and after these storms. I’ve stood many times on the edge of the ocean with gale driven sand stinging my legs and foam balls spinning down the beach. I love coastal storms. I wish I could be at the beach today. Just to our north there’s going to be a macker.
