The goal in the 21st Century, as we move forward, should always be to reduce taxation. Slowly but surely we must work to undo the statism that infected society in the 20th Century. (Largely because people just didn’t know better.) There is no need for government to cost as much as it does given leaps in technology. (There are huge gains to be made in coming years by bringing government into the 21st Century.) Plus as a general rule money should always be kept in the productive private sector and out of the hands of government. Government is the mother of cronyism.
