The reason Pelosi is mocked is not because of she is an “ethnic person.” She is mocked because she is disconnected from the country, has become fabulously wealthy as a “liberal” Congresswoman (How’d that happen? Oh wait, look in our archives.), speaks as if she’s a moral authority when she is anything but, refuses to give up the reins Fidel Castro style, generally seems to hold everything east of the East Bay (at least until the suburbs of DC) in contempt, and gives cover to congressional Democrats who are almost as disconnected as she is. Then there was the fact that she insisted on her own taxpayer financed private plane while Speaker of the House. (Stocked with liquor and all the necessities.) She’s mocked because she deserves to be mocked. Not because her last name is Pelosi.
And seriously, has anyone looked at Nancy Pelosi and even thought about ethnicity? Sounds like Chris Mathews has. But that’s the thing with people who wrap themselves up in identity politics. They think everyone thinks like they do. It’s a shame to see actually.
Now if you’ll excuse me, this Sorrentino has a cannoli to go eat.

In a moment caught by NewsBusters, the “Hardball” host played a clip of Trump attacking Pelosi as the Republican Party’s “secret weapon” after she dismissed the raises and bonuses that some companies have given workers as “crumbs.”
“I will reserve judgement; picking on somebody from one of the coasts, usually ethnic, and making them the poster person of the Democratic Party is old business for the Republicans,” Matthews responded to the clip.
