Florida Cop Who Failed to Confront Parkland Shooter Is Getting $8,700 Monthly Pension – $104,000/YEAR

Everything about the Parkland shooting stinks to high heaven. How the local sheriff reacted (and remains in office), to how his deputies reacted, to the PR firms selling the kids “protesting” for gun control, to why Nicholas Cruz wasn’t treated, to the fact that the FBI knew all about Cruz, and on and on. And now we learn that the sheriff’s deputy who hid outside of the school while the shooting was happening is getting over $8,700/month in a pension courtesy of the taxpayers? What?

A Florida sheriff’s deputy who failed to confront a gunman during a Feb. 14 school massacre is receiving a monthly state pension of $8,702.35.

The SunSentinel reports 55-year-old Scot Peterson, who resigned and retired after the shootings, began receiving payments in April.

Surveillance video showed Peterson outside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School as the gunman killed 17 people inside with an AR-15 assault-style rifle. Broward Sheriff Scott Israel said Peterson should have gone inside. President Donald Trump called Peterson a coward.
