We get where he’s going with this, and for the most part his criticism is pretty apt. CNN is just crazy these days, and NBC, well it is the mother of that little media gremlin MSNBC. Both are basically propaganda outfits at this point. They have been for a long time, but they’ve taken things to another level. Honestly sometimes I watch and I laugh out loud. Some of the stuff that they push is nuts. But my mother who is in her mid-60s and millions other like her still think they are legitimate news outlets.
Fox deserves criticism of course, but they gave Obama a reasonable shake, even if it was an obviously partisan one. What we’ve seen from the old media since Trump won has been off the charts.
Whether calling the networks “our country’s biggest enemy” is the best thing to do I will leave to you dear reader. I mean they are pretty terrible, but probably not America’s BIGGEST enemy.
Trump had hours earlier returned from Singapore, where he began to negotiate a nuclear stand-down with North Korea, a belligerent communist dictatorship.
He praised the despotic Kim Jong-un and said North Korea ‘has great potential for the future.’ Not so for the political press corps.
‘So funny to watch the Fake News, especially NBC and CNN,’ Trump tweeted of the two networks he sees as most needlessly antagonistic toward his administration. ‘They are fighting hard to downplay the deal with North Korea.’
‘500 days ago they would have “begged” for this deal – looked like war would break out. Our Country’s biggest enemy is the Fake News so easily promulgated by fools!’
