This is a part of the robot revolution we hadn’t considered. There are few professions more crony than lawyer. (Certainly not all lawyers are working the system and a good one is not a bad thing to have – or be.) If automated lawyers can help cut through the everyday red tape that mires so much of commerce and really life at large, that would be a good thing.
We’ll keep an eye on this.
Browder describes DoNotPay as “the world’s first robot lawyer,” and believes that the system he’s building will one day be able to address the majority of legal issues.
“DoNotPay will have succeeded if the word ‘lawyer’ is completely removed from the dictionary for average people,” Browder told Reason.
