US Security Adviser Bolton Holds Talks in Moscow after Trump Vows to Nix Nuke Treaty

The U.S. national-security adviser, John Bolton, is holding talks in Moscow amid tension following President Donald Trump’s declaration that the United States will withdraw from a landmark Cold War-era nuclear arms control treaty with Russia. . . .

Ahead of the meetings, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Russia hopes Bolton will clarify the U.S. position on the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty, which bans most missiles with a range of 500 to 5,500 kilometers.
