This year at Davos George Soros made his opinion of Facebook pretty clear. In January The Guardian reported that according to Mr. Soros;
“Facebook and Google have become “obstacles to innovation” and are a “menace” to society whose “days are numbered”,
Given this kind of talk, at Davos, should we be at all surprised that Facebook pulled out the big guns? That Facebook even, according to the New York Times hired – gasp – a “Republican” PR firm to battle the oligarch? That is a sin for which there is almost no penance.
Consider also that George Soros thinks that Facebook is an obstacle to his “progressive” agenda. Consider that Facebook, a product of San Francisco and steeped in PC culture, which has been known to drum out those who do not fall in line with its “progressive” disposition, is seen as an enemy by George Soros because it’s not in line enough with his personal vision for the world.
In January he said;
“This is particularly nefarious because social media companies influence how people think and behave without them even being aware of it. This has far-reaching adverse consequences on the functioning of democracy, particularly on the integrity of elections.”
You dumb, dumb deplorables. Social media gives the yokels a platform.
THIS is the mentality that drives Mr. Soros. He can’t stand that the rabble have even a limited voice.
Following a shocking exposé in the New York Times revealing how Facebook resorted to guerrilla tactics to deflect blame amid their various scandals, including hiring Republican PR firm Definers which cast liberal critics as operatives for liberal financier George Soros, top representatives for the Hungarian-American billionaire have demanded answers.
While Facebook was under fire on Capitol Hill for allowing Russians to purchase advertising during and after the 2016 US election, liberal critics blamed the company for Hillary Clinton’s loss – including activist protesters who put a public face on liberal opposition to the social media giant.
