Florida Voters Take a Stand Against Taxes

Florida voters passed several constitutional amendments in the midterm elections that will reduce existing taxes and more importantly make raising any type of taxes much more difficult in the future.

Other states would do well to follow in their footsteps.

Florida voters gave themselves some stronger protections against property taxes – one of the more sinister means of government revenue collection.

An even bigger change came with the passing of Amendment 5, which establishes that a supermajority is now required for any future tax increases in the state of Florida.
