How much federal research funding do colleges in YOUR state receive? (FIND OUT HERE)

Federal university funding is big time stuff. Trump’s threat to withhold such funding from universities that do not respect free speech could have a large impact in the normally insulated university system.

Leading up to President Donald Trump signing an executive order on Thursday that is intended to withhold federal research dollars from colleges and universities that do not protect free speech, Campus Reform compiled a report, based on publicly available data from the National Science Foundation, a government agency that produces an annual spending report on how much taxpayer money flows into higher education research.

The data presented in the report show that hundreds of colleges and universities, both private and public, in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, received nearly $25 billion in 2017 for federal research and development (R&D) purposes.
